Stream-Line-based reservoir characterization : Latest advances

Abstract

This paper presents the different streamline tools that have been integrated recently in the research 3D-StreamLine plugin. Giving a 3D velocity field and a grid support (SGrid or Voxet), the 3D-streamlines are built using a particle tracking algorithm. Several different type of problems can be solved among those transport equations, tracers tests, two-phase fluid flow, thermal equation, etc. . . It is intended to extend this tool onto structured grids (Tsolid).
