Modeling Stratified Media: Latest advances

in: 17th gOcad Meeting, ASGA

Abstract

At the June 97 issue of the GO CAD meeting, Sebastien Bombarde and Christophe Basire presented a prototype of a new method allowing to model sub-horizons inside a macro-layer. The proposed method was based on a morphing technique coupled with au interpolation of the relative distances of the sub-horizons to the foot-wall. The mathematics of this method has been revisited and we present in this article a new DSI constraint allowing to avoid the sub-horizons to intersect each other. Moreover, we present a new DSI inequality constraint preventing sub-horizons to intersect well zones corresponding to a different geological layer.
