in: 19th gOcad Meeting, ASGA

Abstract

Tridimensionai baianced restoration of geolagicallayer is one afthe most challenging issues in structural geology. This paper presents the different approaches which are currently under investigation within the frame of the gOcad project. In prac/iee, Iwo approaches based respectively on DSI and black packing are considered. Possible impie· mentations of these methods are discussed and early results obtained with the DSI approach are presented. A possible coupling of the two proposed approaches is aiso discussed.
